Alright. We can admit it. The topic is slightly less than scintillating, but nobody allowed Andrea in on that secret. From the very first page of Brandabout, Andrea engages us, she continues to hold our attention, and she delights, teaches and enlightens. Best of all, Andrea walks her talk, so she scarcely needs my or any recommendation. If she needed one, though, I have one to wholeheartedly offer.

BrandAbout is a great read! Andrea “got me” with the opening metaphor of taking a “walkabout” in your brand. I love the idea of “finding our true selves” and “finding our true brand" in the great Australian tradition of a walkabout.
Her easy and engaging writing style make it part a great brand text, part a great brand manager's how-to manual, and part a great personal journey. I dog-eared pages, underlined something on almost every page and have at least 5 exercises that I can't wait to try with my team.
If you care about brand, you'll care about this book!

Beginning with the introduction, and continuing in every chapter, it is clear Andrea Syverson’s BrandAbout is not a conventional business book. She brings a soulful quality to something that is often justly criticized for having none. Brands often die because they are thought to be static. Successful brands and brand managers understand that businesses, and the brands that define them, need to evolve. If you think you don’t have a brand, think again. In today’s crowded marketplace having a well-defined, evolving brand may be your key to survival and success. This book will help you to better understand the importance of your brand and the critical relationship between brands and merchandising. Reading Andrea’s book will inspire you to look at your brand with fresh eyes and will help distinguish your brand in the marketplace. A must read. --Bob Allen, interim president/CEO, Direct Marketing Association, and former president/CEO, Vermont Country Store

Having worked with Andrea for over 15 years I was delighted to learn she was writing a book to distill her proven and extensive knowledge of brands and branding. BrandAbout is very a readable, but more importantly a very usable book that provides a road map with lots of specific ideas for building a strong and recognizable brand. I highly recommend this book for entrepreneurs, seasoned marketers, and anyone searching for demonstrated best practices to establish an identifiable brand. --Jon Medved, former CEO of Current, Inc., Walter Drake, and CHEFS
