Aruna Chandra

Aruna Chandra is an assistant professor of management at Indiana State University. Educated in India and the United States, she earned a B.A. in English from Women's Christian College in Madras, an M.A. in English and Linguistics from Bangalore University, and an MBA in Strategy and International Business at Kent State University. She also holds two doctoral degrees in strategy and international business from Kent State University.

Her teaching and research interests are in the areas of international management, entrepreneurship, and business strategy in emerging markets. She has assisted several small-to mid-sized firms in their export market development efforts to big emerging markets such as India.

Dr. Chandra is a member of the Academy of International Busness and the Academy of Management. She has published in several journals including The International Executive, Foreign Trade ReviewMarketing Management, and The International Journal of Advertising.

Pradeep Rau

Pradeep Rau is on leave as a professor of marketing at The George Washington University, where he was chairman of the Department of Marketing from 1995 to 2000. He is currently working at Ifosys in India. 

His teaching and research interests are in international marketing, marketing research, and marketing strategy. He has numerous publications in professional business and academic journals and one book, Marketing Strategies for the New Europe.

Dr. Rau's international teaching experiences include the University of Aarhus in Denmark, Institute Tadbiran Awam Negara in Malaysia, and several institutions in India including the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi and the Indian Institutes of Management in Ahmedabad and Bangalore.

He earned his Bachelor's of Technology at the Indian Institute of Technology in Kanpur, his MBA at the Indian Institute of Management at Calcutta, and his DBA at Kent State University.

John Ryans, Jr.

John K. Ryans Jr. is retired as the Bridgestone Professor of International Business and Marketing at Kent State University. He has served as visiting professor at Columbia University and the University of Houston.

He received his doctorate from Indiana University. He is a fellow of the Academy of International Business and has served on the executive committee of the U. S. Department of Commerce's Northern Ohio District Export Council.

Dr. Ryans has written extensively in the fields of international business, marketing and strategy, including more than 20 books and 200 articles in business journals, including the Harvard Business Review.

He is co-author with Pradeep Rau of Marketing Strategies for the New Europe, published in 1990. He has served as a consultant to many U. S. and foreign manufacturing firms and advertising agencies, including Goodyear International, Xerox, The Interpublic Group, Novo Industries (Denmark), Master Builders, DEC, McCann-Erickson, and the Bates Group.
