About Us
We have collectively been in the publishing business for nearly 40 years. From writing and producing business magazines and international newsletters to publishing marketing books, we understand the importance of gathering reliable data, finding new perspectives and generating actionable ideas.
Founded in 1999 by Doris Walsh and Jim Madden, PMP is located in Ithaca, NY, in the Finger Lakes region of New York State. Besides being home to Cornell University and Ithaca College, Ithaca is situated at the foot of Cayuga Lake, the longest of the Finger Lakes. For Doris that means sailing with her husband when she's not editing books, talking with new authors and taking orders over the phone. When Jim is relaxing, he can be found mountain biking in the 'hills' of the Finger Lakes, following the dirt trails of the state forests. Also, an editor of books, Jim works in tandem with Doris on planning, working with authors, identifying key topics and serving customers.
